fillet issue

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can point me in the direction here. I'm following a tutorial where I have created 6 vent insets around the shape using (boolean merge with solid shapes to punch out).

I have applied a 0.2 fillet on the direct top and comes out perfect. However when I apply the same thing to the other other insets it seems there is trouble.

Any help would appreciated

Thanks

Steve

Hi,
I was playing around and it seems the vents I created (punch) resulted in many small edges. I zoomed in made sure I select all the edges then applied the fillet and seems fine.

My mistake

Stever,
I'm flattered that you resurrected the blender I never got to save! It's like I'm seeing a familiar ghost.
Yes, I see the small little sections. Can't wait to see what you finish with!

There is a script to select a Loop that helps in situations like this. Select two adjacent segmented edges then run it and it selects all the little bits in the loop. Can speed things up a lot. I have it set to the L key. Not as sophisticated as, say, the Modo loop select but nevertheless can come in handy.

re: Loop selection - the script you put on a keyboard shortcut for that is:

script:/*Loop selection*/moi.geometryDatabase.selectLoop();

and some more examples for how it works:
