Hi DesuDeus, it is possible to move the moi.ini file to anywhere you want, you then need to tell MoI where you put it by putting in a command-line argument to MoI.exe , with the path to the moi.ini file.

So you'd edit the shortcut that you use to launch MoI and immediately after the part that has MoI.exe in it, put in a space and then the path to your moi.ini file, putting " " around the path if it has any spaces in it.

So your shortcut target might look like this:

"C:\Program Files\MoI 3.0 beta Oct-25-2011\MoI.exe" "c:\some folder\moi.ini"

Hi DesuDeus, yup moi.ini on the OSX version will be located in your user directory, under ~/Library/Application Support/Moi/moi.ini .

I think the Library folder is hidden by default in Finder in some OSX versions, but if you type in the path to it you can get there.

There is also a dialog box that will show you the path to where the moi.ini file is located - if you go to Options > General and push the "Edit .ini file" button a dialog will come up showing the path to it.

The moi.ini file holds all your settings, so if you copy it between 2 machines your settings will then transfer.

Yes I know that but is there a way to launch MoI on OSX and not using the default moi.ini but another one located on a shared directory like dropbox ?

Hi DesuDeus, for that right click on the MoI app and choose "Show package contents", then inside there run the Wineskin.app - a dialog will appear and push the "Advanced" button, then on the next dialog that appears you can enter in command line parameters for moi.exe in the field marked "EXE flags".

Put the full path and filename to the location of the moi.ini file that you want to use in there as a command line parameter and then that should probably work. If there are any spaces in the path put double quotes " " around the whole path.

Then to verify that it's working, push that "Edit .ini file" button inside of MoI to see if it's using that moi.ini file or not.

Probably a UNIX path will work there, like: /Users/michael/moi.ini , but if a regular UNIX path does not seem to work you can instead put in a Windows path there using a z: drive which maps to the UNIX root, so for example z:\Users\michael\moi.ini . But try using the UNIX path first and let me know if that doesn't work so I can fix that up if needed.
