Wow! That looks really great!

Then to business:
- V3 is in the beta phase, what is the planned release date?
- Can I run V2 and V3 alongside one another i.e. on the same machine?
- What is the planned pricepoint for V3? Price for upgrade?
- Can v3 be used work project or is it still buggy?

Thanks

Good to see you finally come around to the forum Sebastian ;)
I can answer some of those questions, Michael will fill you in on the rest as I'm not 100% sure about them.

> V3 is in the beta phase, what is the planned release date?

This question comes up a lot, the V3 beta has just been released a few weeks ago so final release will be somewhere in the future from today........or tomorrow ;)

> Can I run V2 and V3 alongside one another i.e. on the same machine?

Yes you can, V3 will install in it's own directory and pick up your V2 ini file.

> What is the planned pricepoint for V3? Price for upgrade?

No idea :)

> Can v3 be used work project or is it still buggy?

With any beta release it's not recommended but a lot of people here will tell you the beta version of MoI is as stable or even better than many full release CAD software.

Hope that satisfies some.

Cheers
~Danny~

Hi Danny, great to see a familiar face!

If V3 and V2 can run on the same machine then I can use v3 til it crashes or whatever and simply switch to V2. That rocks.

I actually got MoI about 7/8 months ago but never really bothered with it. Its very similar to Rhino which I worked with for a long time so I'm picking it up quick. Hope to post something soon ;)

Sebastian, you'll find it hard to crash MoI even the beta :)

Hi bigseb,

> - V3 is in the beta phase, what is the planned release date?

It's still in the early stages of v3, there is not yet any specific fixed release date set yet.

I don't really have a "set in stone" development approach for MoI, see here for more info:

> - What is the planned pricepoint for V3? Price for upgrade?

I'm not sure about this yet. The upgrade price from V1 to V2 was $100 USD though to give you some frame of reference for what to generally expect as far as upgrades go.

> - Can v3 be used work project or is it still buggy?

It's a big goal to keep the betas stable and usable for regular projects.

Most people that use MoI heavily use the latest beta version for their regular work.

All the MoI betas I have used have been just fine for production work.
That's pretty rare for beta software.
cheers

Mmmm, the flow command is very awesome - I've used it a bunch of times already :)

Also, plug for MoI - it's still my favourite graphics program!
