Great looking model. I would suggest however changing the hose to a lower poly tube and using a texture for the corrugations. Otherwise you're render times are going to be quite high.

Sleek, Riko! Very stylish. The auto paint is a nice touch.

Nice work, but you are giving me nightmares at the same time.

I worked for a vacuum manufacturer for 20 years and I ended it after things went downhill. Gives me a sour taste just thinking about the people.

However, knowing the amount of detail that can go into something that seems simple, can prove to be a rewarding design experience. Beyond the materials, there are user interface details and areas that can be interesting and fun to design, optimizing air paths for best performance of the motor, and using design and materials to minimize wieght and sound levels.

The work was fun, the people my last five years - not so much.

One of my wife's late grandfathers worked for Hoover much of his life, particularly the manufacture of a model called the "Constellation" which was basically a ball.

That was our vacuum for much of my early youth, a coppery-gold painted metal with tan rubber parts.
It was the subject of the only actual single conversation I had with him before he passed.

The thing could be made to reverse the air flow also by swapping the hose connection.

Hi Mike - that hoover ball model almost looks like some kind of diving helmet apparatus!

It had to be a reflection of the "space-aged" thinking of that era. Like having your very own Sputnik!
My wife's grandfather talked about how the two hemispheres were were stamped from metal sheet in a large press.
