There is a Rebuild command which can be used to reconstruct a path, it can sometimes help to simplify font outlines:

As a total beginner with MOI ( and used to do polygon-modelling) I know, that there are a lot
of things I have to consider and to learn. But right now I don't have time to study manuals.
