Hi Brian,

Hmmm, haven't seen this problem before yet over here. Sounds like something didn't go right with the regular UI loading process. It could be some side effect relating to the aborted system shutdown I guess.

Please let me know if you see it again, especially if you see it under normal running circumstances.

Hi Brian, also one thing to note about the "reverse flow" is that just like when you flow from a base plane on to a sphere target where there is compression happening at the pole areas of the sphere when you go in the reverse direction the same kind of thing will happen where there is a kind of expansion deformation happening in the unflowed result.

It's generally more like texture mapping and not the same as a "developable surface" - the 2D result won't work for example to make a pattern to cut to do a physical construction of the 3D object because of the expansion and compression that is happening.

But it still could be useful as a modeling tool - you could do something like unflow it to get a good idea of where in the plane you want to draw some things to then flow back on to the sphere.

Thank you Michael.
MoI3beta worked great again, after morning computer turnon.
The "UnFlow" seems to flow back to the same curve. Red + Blue = Purple.

Can you repost the 7z file as a zip file format ?

Edit:

I have uploaded the last alpha version of 7z and seems now all is working fine! ;)

But for the future save your files in Zip format, it's better for most users! ;)

Ps What is the best numbers of points by default ? You give 200 but...

What is the "best" number of points?
200 points gives a quick result, which looks OK if not zoomed in on.
Interpcurve factory is currently used. Curve factory could be substituted.

10,000 points might be slightly smoother, but takes time, and memory resources are limited at some number of points.
Tried 10,000 points, with rebuild of .00001, which works OK...

The "basketball" script has controllable width, but is shaped differently.
The "basketball" script with aFactor of 17.2, and radius of 1.4607405 resembles the baseball.
