A Little help needed.

I can't seem to get fillet to do anything. I'm a tad new to anything decent to do with NURBS not having a great deal of money and everyone else seems to be managing it so maybe an example for this noob?

Just a couple of other things:

Can't find the bug list, again I don't know if it's me being a muppet but I don't know what is and isn't a known bug.

Which brings me to the second thing. In lieu of being able to fillet I'm trying other things and I'm not really able to get the result I want in this manner. I don't know if this is an inherent limitation with the sweep algorithms available and my technique needs improving or if it's a bug but there seems to be some sideways motion with points that are in exactly the same position in the XY plane as circled in the attachment. Maybe it's my inexperience but it's not quite what I was expecting. Also, I'd like to be able to reduce the amount of points/curves created.

First thing, reduce your fillet size. If your fillet size is too large it won't show up. Many times I've had to set it to something ridiculously tiny like .01 to get a fillet. It seems like there's a built-in mechanism that keeps fillets from breaking things.

Michael: Would it be possible to have some kind of indicator of what the largest possible fillet value for a given operation is?

There isn't really an official public "known bug" list yet. I've been trying to fix bugs as they have been reported to keep the list down anyway.

But fillets are a tricky area in general - it is common to have problems with the calculation of fillets especially on complex areas, such as surfaces with lots of small ripples or bumps in them, or places where many different surfaces come together at a point or shared edges...

You just need to have things as clean and simple as possible to increase the chances of filleting working.

I can't really tell exactly what you're specifically running into, though - if you have something that you want to fillet but can't, please post the model here so I can take a look at the model and give you some more specific advice on how to approach it.

There is actually an update to filleting coming in the next beta (probably on Monday), so that should help a little.

It can be kind of difficult to get the hang of NURBS modeling techniques at first, even though I've tried to make MoI easy to use, I still wouldn't really say that stuff like filets and sweeps are exactly easy, there is still a learning curve involved. Which is difficult right now with the beta since there isn't any proper documentation or tutorials right now. You may want to look on the web for some Rhino tutorials, a lot of those will apply to MoI pretty well also.

Anyway, please post some models relating to your questions, that will help!

Unfortunately it is quite difficult to calculate this value... It would be a pretty intense calculation, difficult to achieve, and even if achieved probably very time consuming.

OK, Thank's Black Mariah, that answered my first question :o)

As for the other thing, I include mouse.3dm.

While I'm here, I seem to have found another anomoly. I'm getting an error in this sweep (Example2.jpg) but only when I select the outer rail first. It appears to conform to the curves when I select in the opposite order. Maintain height is switched on, the effects are greater without. For this, I attach Mouse2.3dm.
