Stunning. This is one of the fantastic things about the 3D world and rendering - one can make most anything into a work of art if they have the skill. A spark plug, a bearing, or even a bolt, ...

Your renders appear to have a depth of field. Is that done during rendering or post rendering with an image editor?

Hello and thank you for the comment,

the DOF (depth of field) was done during rendering, in the last rendered one i use a depth map in photoshop to make the DOF even stronger... and a bit cleaner (less noise)

best regards

tijai

Hello!

i modeled the text like this... (no big secret:-))

extrude the text, boolean intersect with a slightly bigger circle than the sparkplug body...

thats all:-)

if the stretching of the letters is to big... because of the round body, i rotate the extruded letters a bit by hand...
and do than a boolean intersect...

after that i do a boolean differenz with a circle with the same radius as the sparkplugbody...

is this clear? (my english is a bit lousy:-)) hope the images shows it better:-)

best regards,

tijai
