Any idea what this program is all about?

http://www.groboto.com/v3/

I'm on Windows and they're still working on the version for this platform.
So I can't try it. Hope this is not a duplicate thread.

Hi blenddoodler, I haven't checked it out myself but there is a current discussion on it in the Luxology forum over here:
http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=54799

Also it looks like it has its own forum over here:

Yes. I've just known about it in the Luxology forums. I asked a question with a different screen name and it was just ignored. But that's okay as there might not be an easy answer to it. What I was curious about is if it's any different from MOI where you could practically model anything with precision. In the later part of the thread, he said that it's not something you could use to model cars, for example.

So I guess it's more of a tool to generate or automate abstract-looking models maybe useful in games or something. I'm more of the CAD user, so it's probably not for me.

Hi blenddoodler, also another thread on it at CGTalk here:

From its description I guess it is focused on handling combinations of primitives? So maybe it doesn't do things like lofts or sweeps for surface generation from curves, that might be why cars would not be a good fit. Just a guess though, I have not tried it myself.

I've looked into Groboto also, from what I've seen on Youtube, which is V2, It shows a lot of fractal type models that are animated, going through different transformations.

Upon emailing Braid Art Labs asking about where I could find the V3 demo, I was told to wait for the windows version of V3 to be released and not to bother with V2 because V3 is more aimed at the modeling side of things, in saying that I think it will be building models using primitives then post processed using tools like ZBrush, which most of the examples show.
