btw. Im german and i use the english UI....

It's the buttun for call the system of layer of Moi, and selection system!
Not really layers, better than layers because you can make cross selection!

But I don't use it during the video ;)

Hi BlackBird, that button is the same as the "Browser" button in the English UI, for opening/closing the Scene Browser pane.
