This is really cool stuff! Great job! I have a modo license, but I never use it. I think your work has inspired me to check out exporting from MoI to modo and play with modo's renderer. Everything looks really nice and smooth. I think the plastic mat is good. The lighting is kind of bland though.

Any tips you could offer someone thinking about trying a MoI>modo workflow would be appreciated.

Hello,

there are lot of tips in this forum here... search for modo:-)
i do nothing special, just export to .lwo, n-gons... with high polycount:-) i play around with the "divide larger than" and "avoid smaler than" settings.
if you seperate the parts with different layerstyles, they got seperated materials in modo, very handy.

Weld on or off shouldn't make any difference for rendering with Modo.

It's something that you may mess with if you have particular needs for processing the model in other ways, like editing it by pulling points around or if you want to break the model apart into different chunks with one chunk for each original surface, or some stuff like that.

If you're just going to render it directly then welding on or off won't make any difference.
