Yes, Burr Man. But... There is another section that needs to be underneath this section. Both halves are shown on the DWG. I can get this far, but the shape does not have the proper two sided profile.

You can see top-cross section-bottom in the attached snapshot of the DWG.

This is why I am scratching my head! LOL

Hi Chris, so you may be getting confused thinking about using sweep for the spokes - but instead of focusing on sweep you probably want to think about extruding the whole profile to make the shape instead.

Also with a wheel shape it can often be easier to start out with a full revolved solid shape and then boolean out some holes which will then leave the spokes as the left over material.

Will that possibly work for what you need?

Also if you want to make a sunken down area instead of a hole that goes all the way through you can do that by making an extrusion that goes to a particular limited depth into the wheel shape and then using that extrusion as the cutting object in a boolean rather than using a curve as the cutting object, since using curves as the cutters makes the hole go all the way through.

Hi Twofoot,
The main thing I did was to rebuild the curves to start with, so I could fillet after i extruded.. As with the original file I posted, i just deleted the verticle faces up to the fillt, then mirrored it under to create the spoke, to trim and boolean into the rim revolve...

So in the original file, you can see it is just a double extrude with fillets on the edges, then i deleted these verticle edges here and mirrored and joined it.

Rememeber I didnt use any dimensions from your files. I was just experimenting the method, so you cant use my files (I'm sure you see this)

So here is a model that can give the same thing, a little different. Just extruded the shapes through each other. I would fillet these edges, then boolean things together...



I would think you could work this to get the dimensions from your file... The little fillets in the original file are slightly varying at .061-.062 and .0625...

You could review these and fillet these edges at those values to get the spoke... If the Z values need to be adjust, you could cut off the bottom with a boolean diff at half the height and then do the mirror thing...
