This is on the new server, seems to be working ok but there are a couple of glitches to work out still - one that I noticed so far is that image attachments are not recognized as images at the moment so you don't get the "insert inline" option yet.

Hi Michael ..

There does not seem to be an 'unread' category.
I lost my user name and had to set up a new one.

Oops, now there is an 'unread' category but it brings up everything.

cheers,
eric

Hi eric - the marker for whether you've read messages or not goes along with your user account, so if you set up a new account it will start out with everything as unread.

I'll take a look at why your user account did not come over though, the account was supposed to come over, but probably the "remember password" setting would not and you need to type in your password again.

Hi Burr, yup not only is the machine itself a lot faster but I also put in an opcode cache while I was at it so it doesn't need to parse a bunch of files from disk for running the forum.

Hi eric - I just got a chance to check, and your user account did come over to the new server ok, I will e-mail you your old login name and a new password to use. You can just ignore your new account you set up - if you login with your old account, all your read/unread messages should be the same as they were before.

Image attachments should be fixed now with the "insert inline" button showing up again like it used to.

Image test:

Image thumbnail test, for when an image file is attached but not inserted inline in the message body.

Should show up as a thumbnail image link in an Image Attachments section at the bottom of the message:
Image Attachments:
Size: 68.2 KB, Downloaded: 27 times, Dimensions: 425x229px

Hi Pilou, the forum still has the same attachment upload limit as before - 50MB for each user.

It's just not practical to try and allow infinite uploads on this server, it would fill up all the hard drive space on the server.

If you need to upload more than 50MB of files there are various upload services that are focused on handling large amounts of data per user which you can use, try Dropbox or Windows live SkyDrive.
