Michael, is it possible to create a viewer that will enable me to see a thumbnail view of any 3dm project when I mouse over it in my folder. It would be fantastic to see a brief image of a project and save the extra steps of having to fully launch each one to see what the file looks like, my folder is huge and growing :)

Hi phlatt5th, that kind of "display in folder view" kind of needs 2 mechanisms working together - it has to be done quickly so the viewer can't really generate an image from the actual 3D data, there has to be a thumbnail image created during the file save out from MoI. Then the viewer part that would run inside the folder view can access that thumbnail image and display it.

I do plan on adding this in the future, it's on the wishlist.

One thing that's a little annoying about it is an increase in file size although it probably won't be too bad. But something like a file that has just a couple of curves in it which is currently very compact will be larger with the thumbnail included.
