Hi Michael G. and Max,

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a prosperous New Year!

Since MoI and Alibre are officially teamed up, I thought I would start a forum that could be used to address specific issues regarding the two.

Sounds like a good idea, Michael T. !

Did you mean a separate forum at a different web address, or do you mean to use this topic in the MoI forum here for any discussions on that?

Either, I suppose. What has your experience been with things like this? Would one work better than the other?

Hi Michael T, well just using a topic right in here is the easiest since it's already set up.

Setting up a completely different forum would take some more work, you'd need to get web hosting for it, decide which forum software to set up on the web server, stuff like that... Nothing too bad though, but more work than just using a thread right here to discuss things.

I'm not sure there's sufficient demand for another forum. Probably as MoI gets a larger user base over the next couple of years the forum here could have some categories.

I run a Cinema 4D forum. Easy enough to set up a forum but you've got to be committed to manage / run it every day or get people to assist you. I've seen people start up Cinema 4D forums expecting them to take off and give up 3 months later after finding it hard going getting anyone to post.

All being said, I guess right here will be fine!

It would be good if Michael could introduce Categories in to the forum. However, I guess that would mean changing the forum software, which could be a big job.
