Saving construction lines in template file?

Good Evening, all...

First post. Downloaded trial version and checking out options. I've installed
construction line scripts. However, I would like to save my construction lines in my template
file. I use the same basic layout from project to project. Is there a script or option available
that allows the saving of construction lines? Thanks

Hi Bob, sorry no there currently isn't any way to save construction lines to a file, right now they are only set up to exist during the current modeling session.

Also right now there isn't enough information about the construction lines accessible to scripts to make a separate scripting solution for it either.

Once v3 is underway it should be possible for me to make some more information about construction lines available to scripts to make it possible to do stuff like that though.

Currently your best bet would probably be to set up regular line objects in your template (and probably lock them so they won't be easily selectable) instead of actual construction lines.

Thank You, Michael...I can put a series of tic marks to indicate my boundaries
and save it off as my template file. That'll work.
Regards

Hi Bob, you can use some little lines for those kind of tic marks or also there is a point object that you can place for a marker for that, it's under Draw curve > More > Point
