Bolean Div: keep object when named

Hi all
When I do a bolean div I can choose if I want to keep the div-ed objects. When I build more complex models with several div operations I name the div-objects so I can easily rebuild the model. If I don't check the "keep objects" box these objects are lost. Is it somehow possible to overwrite this so that if a object is named it don't get delated no matter if the the "keep objects" is checked ore not?

Thanks for any hints
nos

Hi nos, there is no simple checkbox option for that kind of customized behavior in Boolean Difference, but it is possible to modify the Boolean Difference command script to automatically turn on "keep objects" if you have any named cutting objects rather than that coming only strictly from the UI checkbox value.

I've attached a customized command script that does this - copy this one over top of the regular BooleanDifference.js command script file which is under the \commands subfolder inside of MoI's main installation folder. Make sure to exit MoI first before updating the file.

Does that do what you wanted?
