sorry but for lack of a better way of describing it I am using Polygon/Sds modelling terminology.
I would like to have a button that automatically selects a surface from a given closed selection of edges, and vice versa.

Especially being able to select a surface and quickly converting that selection into a selection of the corresponding edges defining it would help
