Maybe I'm going to have to include a timer in the upper corner, so your screenshots will be able to include an "official modeling time elapsed" count... :)

LOL! Yes, well, it took me a couple of hours but then I was exploring the program and I've not played much with nurbs before. ;)

Hopefully MoI will make it easier for you to use NURBS.

They work well for this type of "construction" approach where you can draw curves and construct surfaces from those curves and cut and trim things with each other.

I think it feels more like you're drawing the shapes, pushing and pulling polygon mesh cage points around doesn't feel quite as much like drawing.

But it's also important to know that NURBS aren't great for certain other types of modeling, like if you're going to do faces or characters or stuff that has sort of really small level lumpy details in it, then a subdivision surface modeler is going to be much better for that.
