Could Revolve be enhanced to handle such a situation but if a planar surface was made first with the curves, something like extrude where you can choose curves or a surface ?

Hi Danny, yeah that would be possible to allow a face as input into Revolve instead of only curves.

Also it would probably be feasible for capping of partial revolves to work better so that the original case posted here with just curve inputs could get capped.

I've added these to the wishlist.
