Bravo!

The search function in the forum has been updated.

Searches will now be conducted on thread titles in addition to the message body.

I also added a new control here:



This can be switched so that only titles will be searched and not the message content:




So for example now it is possible to do a search for threads containing "WIP".



I've also tuned up the search page so that all the search parameters will keep their values intact when the search is completed, rather than them all resetting back to default values like it previously did. If you want them to reset, just click in the "Search" link in the top toolbar again.


This along with the added nav bar at the top of the messages list finishes up my todo list for functional stuff to add to the forum. If you have any other requests, now is the time to speak up! :)

About Gallery: for instance its Last in - first see ( ? ), 15 pic. by page, 19 pages, no search.

can we have a sort by date, categories (automobile, industrials, ...),
author, version, etc?
and choose to have 10, 20, 30, ..., all, mini prev. in page?

Hi ycarry, I do have some plans for categories in the gallery, but I'm not sure if I will get to that in this update cycle or not.

Searching is possible currently with Google, for example if you want to find gallery items that have the text "PaQ" in them, do the following search in Google:

PaQ site:moi3d.com/gallery


By using the site: keyword you can tell Google to limit the search to a specific site or even a sub-section within a site like the gallery.

Hi Michael,
Looks like the bubbly thing changed at the top title area. I liked "ALL" the samples you showed earlier.....Maybe put them all in a folder with a timer that just changes them at random times... :o (Then at every 1 millionth visit, the site goes into "Lama mode" for that user and they win a box of chocolates!) Ha!

Hi Burr, yeah the bubbly thing didn't quite feel right, I wanted something that gave a sense of "geometric"...

I'm pretty happy with the current attempt, it gives a little bit of texture, but not to a distracting level.

So I think I'm all done with updating the forum, I'll be shifting back to the other web pages for a bit more there.
