Hi Pilou,

> Last important line don't appear on a 17 inch screen
> with some normal bars menu and open tabs ;)
> And some other on the bottom bottom :)

Yes, but that's pretty common for a web page to not always fit on just 1 screen.

That's what the scroll bar on the right-hand side is for! :) Just grab it and scroll down to see the rest of the page.

I am going to be doing an overhaul of the content there as well, this first pass was more on the overall layout.

But I don't think it will be possible for me to put all the information for the main web page into one single 17 inch screen, that's a huge constraint.

This web page is more like a document containing information about MoI, it is not so much like an application web page like Google's main page or something like that. So similar to many documents it may have more information than fits on just one 17 inch screen and you will need to scroll to see the rest of it.

Yes but it's better if the first page has no scrolling :)
And yes it's always a task to make a web page !
Bon courage! :)

Glad to see you are updating your site Michael.

Have to say I'm with Olio and prefer a sans serif font. I would also suggest replacing the 3 images with some new ones. Perhaps some images of more complex models that make it clear that MoI is a serious application. The 2 left hand images are beginner level stuff in my opinion.

Anyway keep up the good work. Once I'm a bit more familiar with MoI I'm quite keen to make some video tutorials as it's pretty thin pickings at the moment. Mine will have audio and be 1280 x 800 in resolution. I'm keen to promote MoI to my Cinema 4D mates and at my web site C4D Cafe.

Thanks Nigel, yup definitely those images are going to be replaced - this first pass is just to get a new overall style and layout, I have not got to updating the actual content yet.

I've tweaked the wiki styling to be more in line with the main page now:
http://moi3d.com/resources

So that leaves just the forum still needing some style attention.

I just did the first round of updates to the forum, just visual styling tweaks. Please let me know if you see any problems.

Still have a bit more to do on it.

Hi Pilou, yeah previously the text sizes could be a bit different in different web browsers, one thing I'm trying is to maybe make it a bit more consistently sized across different ones.

Try holding down the Ctrl key and turn the mouse wheel to adjust the size, does that solve it for you?

Hi Pilou,

> There is now no possibility to go to foreign Forum !

I've added in a "Languages" dropdown in the upper right corner now.

But I'm thinking of removing those other foreign language forums, they are just not getting very much use.

Hi Nick,

> It looks awful here in Chrome browser. Just sayin.

You may have some partially cached stuff mixing with the new stuff.

What happens if you push F5 or Ctrl+F5, does that fix it?

Also what version of Chrome are you using? I have tested over here with Chrome version 5.0.375.70 which I think is the latest.

Thanks for your attention Michael. I do have the latest Chrome (as you do) and it pretty much looks like Pilou's screen shot (too big and looks like bold is on). Yes, I could scroll wheel the size down, but the fact that it has to be done says somethings not right to me. But really, dont sweat it, I was only giving feedback FYI. :-) Yes, I refreshed the browser.

-->on further inspection, its mostly the forum that looks like this. although the sidebar on the main page looks similar.
-->also, i went 'under the hood' in chrome and 'obliterated' all the history data. still looks the same.

Hi Nick, well what you show there looks like how it is supposed to at least for the moment.

Unfortunately it's pretty difficult to get a default font size that looks the same on everyone's computer and web browser.

Maybe I will notch the default down in size slightly.

I was struck with the size at first also. Thought I had inadvertently hit some kind of text size option in my browser. Perhaps down one notch wouldnt hurt much....

I dont want to harp on it either, but noticed this. The size is only in the forum. The home and resources and all the other pages remain as I am used to or expected. Just the forum comes up like it's magnified.

If I use Ctrl+Minus twice, it sizes the same as the rest of the site. That would be 20% smaller.

FYI.
