To increase the realism it might be useful to alter slightly the textures applied to each of the red objects as it looks as though there are identical paint defects and rust points on each one. This would not occur naturally.
Nice job vinced! It's projects like these that get me inspired to look into texturing more deeply, what software did you use to texture and render this.
Thanks Mal

no problem. I will change that when i`ve time and post an update. I will use some offset in the textures.
Thank you Danny
I`ve used cinema 4d for texturing and maxwell for rendering. Texturing and lightning is for me always the tricky part.
It`s trial and error until it looks right. The textures i have downloaded mostly from cgtextures and made them tileable. An edited grayscaleimage is used as bump- , displacement- and roughnessmap.
At first i did it in MOI, but the pile shape was to round (see first image) so i did the pile shape in cinema 4d again with the landscapeobject(?).
Then it`s just textured with displacement. The displacementmap was done by myself.
here comes an update which fixes the repeating of some textures and i`ve added some new objects.
I`ve already noticed the hovering sleeve and just started a new render for the next 6 hours :-(
Hope you like the update .
discovered some days before, that i worked on a badly calibrated monitor.
If my monitor doesn`t play tricks on me this time, then
this is how it should have looked in the first place->
