We've found that Shapeways is good to get feedback on scale and features, but the quality was not great for creating masters for casting.

We've had one done with these guys with pretty good results.

Shapeways is having a "special" until the 15th of June. They have essentially doubled the resolution of their machines. This puts them into the game as a provider of quality output as opposed to the tinkerer class they were in before.

I'll post some photos as soon as the models arrive.
