Workflow issue

At the moment i do 99% of my modeling in MOI, then export it to c4d texture it with cubic projection and render it.

disadvantage:
Sometimes i have disturbing seams running through my textures.
So in the future i`ll have to uv-map and paint my models.

problem is:
i modell some object in MOI copy paste it 100 times and arrange it using MOI`S snapping.
Now after exporting the models i can uv-map and paint it 100 times or
uvmap and paint it one times delete the 99 other objects in c4d copy paste and rearrange them inside c4d and thereby loose the great snapping functions of MOI.

For me the best way (which is not possible) would be to import meshes (uv-mapped and textured) back to MOI and arrange them inside of MOI using MOI`s snapping.

Did anyone experience the same problem and has found some solution to this?

if the objects are identical, in C4d you can UV one of the objects and then copy the UV tag onto the other objects.
At least I think this should work, you would have to check that the point index is identical in all the objects.
Quickest way to assign the tag is to group all objects, copy the UV tag to the null parent, then use then 'assign tag to children' command.

It's been a while since I have done any UV mapping in C4d, so this may not work.

It this does not work, there are some workflow tricks to quickly replace a set of objects by instances, then replace the reference object from these in one go, so that all the instances are referencing on single mesh.

I can confirm that copying UV tags from one object to an identical object works in C4D.

Thanks Okapi and Nigel for the quick reply,

i`ve tried that some time before, but it somehow didn`t work.
But i`ve just tried it again and yes you`re right.
Even if one of the objects has another size it works.

Thanks alot, that was most helpful.

Greetings
