Hi

Thanks for the comments. Couldn't resist doing another render. Dino's on holiday also some sailors, actually Admiral Nelson in the battle of Trafalgar if my son is to be believed.

regards

Jamie

Will, not sure that it is so easy a 5 year old can do it, I have more problems learning new things than he does, more like it is so easy his father can do it. ;-)

Thanks (belatedly) Paul for the kind words.

regards

Jamie

Exactly the question I've been meaning to ask. The renders have a very natural look to the lighting.

Don't think so Burr, there's 'depth of field' involved. My guess is one of the other Luxion variants, hypershot/keyshot.

Cheers

Hi

Sorry neglected to mention the renderer, they were rendered using SiTex AIR a plugin for rhino. The DOF is from the programme. Slows the rendering down though, so post pro maybe better. I like the renderer because its really flexible but it takes a bit of getting used to all the options available. So not easy to use like hypershot but able to do more.

I think there is a trial available although limited to 2 cores and watermarked.

regards

Jamie

Hi

Burr- yes not many people use AIR, although I find it very useful.

Nightcabbage- agreed it would be good to have a renderer for MoI. For me Rhino is my link to rendering. I think Simlab is the best cheapest option for MoI. It has good quality ie Hypershot/Keyshot rendering engine and good model handling for scene setup which is really important. If I didnt already have a hypershot License I would have bought Simlab for product renders. It depends on your needs if you need toon renders, outlines, interiors using IES lights you need something else.

Regards

Jamie
