Hi s7r83dg3,

> MoI becomes reeealy slow with this scene ...

What are your system specs, like what CPU and video card do you have and what amount of RAM ?

If you have an older video card, consider upgrading to a newer video card model, each new generation of video cards has a pretty significant speed boost. Especially if you have one that is like 5-6 years old, that is actually really old.

Also try hiding edges - often times the edge display is what takes the most time. With v2 you can do that with one click, under the Scene Browser, go to the Types section and click the little eye icon for the "Edges" entry under there.

You can also adjust the display mesh density to make it coarser, that will help to reduce the number of polygons being used in the scene. To do that go to Options > View > Meshing parameters, and for "Mesh angle" put in 20, and uncheck "Add detail to inflections". That will make for a little rougher looking display but could help improve speed.

Some of those may help you to speed up the display interaction for your model in MoI.

I'm using an i7/920, 12gb ram, 1 gb gts 250 gfx board ... windows 7

Wow, turning off edges really helps.

Hi s7r83dg3, well certainly your machine is not the issue!

Yeah, turning off edges will be the biggest thing and also reducing display density may be useful as well.

In v3 I'm going to do some experimenting with speeding up the edge display by making it a little coarser on heavy models.
