Hey there,
Well I didn't get much in the way of work, you know 'hump-day' and all. I did have fun recreating this mech tank! I have a couple more details to add in.

Michael, I tried using that "set path" to extrude but nothing happend. How do you use this? Also, will you have a "cap" function soon? Sometimes when I sweep, lathe, extrude I don't always get to cap. I forget when exactly but it didn't give me the option to cap.

Hi Dooki, that's a cool tank!

After you hit "set path", you then can pick a curve that will be used as the extrusion path. After you click on the path curve, it should do the extrusion right then.

This is a little different than sweep - your shape curve will sort of slide along the extrusion path but won't rotate it. Sweep on the other hand will rotate it to keep it perpendicular to the path curve.

Let me know if you need a more detailed example of extrusion "set path".

This is part of the "Construct/Planar" command - that works for both creating planar surfaces from curves, and also for creating planar end caps on open ends of a surface.

The last beta added this for sweeping and lofting, but revolve is still missing it. I should be able to add it there too though.

I believe that "cap" is only working when the surface extruded is "plane"
Else the function extrude along a path works like a charm :)
Damned Michael was more speed than me :)

Meka tank added to the special thread gallery

OK, I finally finished this "mech-tank."
Made in Moi, rendered in Carrara.

Nice tank, I like Ghost in the Shell as well. Maybe you could move the camera in MoI and Carrara a little closer so we can see a little more of the details?

Thanks folks!

Grendel: Yeah, I should use a closer view. I am attaching closer view but not in a scene. Thanks!
