Hi,

is it ok to make a new thread? Or should i put this in the old thread?

I just finished the cockpit in MoI.
The renderings will follow:-)

I need 8 hours for this... (if somebody wants to know it:-))
Its so cool to work with MoI, so intuitiv! like illustrator/corel in 3D...

best regards,

tijai

You are seriously good at this tijai.

Particularly like that last close up view. Nice touch with the last digit of the odometer.

Hi tijai
Incredible work.
But as beveling is very important when rendering (to catch light)
it seems that you round near all edges... even numbers on dial
without prob or you need some tricks?
how is this part (circle on pict)?

hi ycarry,

this part is indeed not 100% "clean"... the bevel around the quadpart is an joined surface....
the round bevel is part of the solid mainbody... but it renders absolutly ok.

i have sometimes "problems" to get the right fillet...
but with carefull placement of solids i solve the most cases.

i round near all egdes where its possible, even with very small amounts (0,01 cm)
bcause in real life, there are no hardedges (maybe on a knife:-))

Hi tijai,
yes I have problems too with bevel
solved sometimes when export then beveling in a polygon modeler,
sometimes using extra geom and trimming with,
but often I need to rework a piece
because I had not thought of bevel before going further...
