Yes, if money is not a problem then get a Cintiq. However it is pretty expensive.

Other than that I'd recommend a Wacom Intuos, it is slightly more expensive than the cheapest one, but it has a much nicer ergonomic pen with it so that is worthwhile, I think.

But you don't have to use a tablet with MoI, you can just use a normal mouse too.

In fact if you haven't already been spending time using a tablet for other things (such as photoshop, etc..), it is possible that it could feel weird to you. But if you do a lot of real drawing with a pencil or pen it could be good.

Hi Terry,

I'm using an old Wacom Graphite3 tablet with MoI for doing my jewellery & it works fine.
Mind you, I'd not used a tablet very much before trying out MoI, but finding it really easy to adapt.
So you might be able to get an older tablet to try out or an old cheap one somewhere?
Just be sure to download the latest Drivers to suit that brand & model tablet.

regards Colin

Hi. I have an Intuos 6x8. But i only use an area that is mapped to size of credit card. this was the reccomendation of the people from Wacom that i spoke to. they told me the Wacom office staff mostly prefer the Intuos 3x5 (i think they stopped making this size now). I figured it would be worth an extra $80 or so to get the larger one for working in paint programs. but after using it, i realized the people at Wacom were right. Using a large tablet makes your arm tired. So that's why they like to use the smallest one. It's also much more portable (about half the size). So i would go for the smallest Intuos (4x6) unless you're left handed, because that one only has zoom buttons on the left side (not both sides like the big tablets)... If i were to buy one again, it would definitley be the 4x6...
