Hi Michael!

What about a litle bit cut enhancement I dont know possible or not... So after I select the "cutting object" (LINE or SPLINE or maybe surface ) I could specify the "cutting side" as well. The cuting area where the objects will remove/delete. So we can prevent the one by one selection.

Yeah that would be fast...

Maybe a kind of 'cookie cutter' option would be cool.

There's been a similar suggestion with interesting information here:

Hi andras, yeah that link Marc posted has some good information in it.

Just go be clear though, you wrote: "So we can prevent the one by one selection." - but actually in the current Trim command there is no restriction to only select things one by one, you can use window selection to more easily select a whole batch of objects like you show in one motion.

For a case like that you will usually want to use the right-to-left window selection which captures any objects that cross the selection box.

It only takes one simple motion to select all the fragments in your example, it goes like this:

When you have a stack of things like that to select, try to use the window selection tools rather than clicking on them just one at a time.

There are 2 ways you can use window selection - if you start on the left and move towards the right it will capture only things that are entirely inside of the window. If you start on the right and drag towards the left it will capture objects that intersect the window in any way. Sometimes one of these methods will be more convenient for a particular selection.

- Michael
