If the other plane is perpendicular to the current one, you can go to a side view and then drag on the rotation grip to rotate the image by 90 degrees.
But if the new plane is not at some regular orientation from the old one, the easiest way is to just delete the current image and draw a new one in snapping the points on to that plane, it will take on that alignment. For an example see:
