Thanks all,

I can use it with the faces hidden :(

It would be nice though in the styles to have a slider for transparency in the color edit, say maybe for the wish list :)

While I can import it to another program I guess I have gotten used to the high level of visual style that is currently available in MoI. I usually just grab screen shots from MoI for early concept development with my work/customer base. When I have someone waiting for a visual it is cumbersome to export, import and set up at the early stage of an idea

Some food for thought; see Michael your program is so natural to use I'm becoming lazy and afraid to using anything else when time is critical :)

Hi David,

I usually fudge transparency when required, it's pretty simple and quick, especially now with styles in MoI V2.

It's just three easy steps:

1. Here I have a cylinder with some internal items, I take a screen shot using the MoI screen dump script.

2. Without moving anything hide the cylinder and take another screen shot of the internals.

3. Take your screen dumps into your favourite graphics editor (I used Gimp) and place each image on a separate layer making sure the cylinder is the very top layer which you set a transparency to the desired effect.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
~Danny~

DannyT,

What an excellent Idea, I was unaware of a screen dump script. That would make layering quicker with less alignment issues.
Could you elaborate where I might find it?

Thanks,
David

Ah BurrMan,
Thank you for the links... This week has been too busy and I passed right over them while hurrying around.
David

Edit/Add - The quality of the screen grab is excellent and large!

Hi David, the capture to clipboard script is "Resolution Adjustable". Note the values in the script. Your video card will be the only limitation here though. I tried to run the larger value on an older card and it fails. Havnt tried to see how big i can go on my 1.5 gig Nvidia yet though :O
