Hi mikey, there is no difference in feature set in the edu version, it has all the same features as the regular version, the software is the same.

Hi mikey, yes you are able to download and run the v2 beta with a v1 edu license.

Just one thing to mention, the edu version ordering is handled for me by a different company called Studica (order page here).

You have to send them proof of your academic status, like a copy of your student ID card. It's not a fully automatic order process so it can sometimes take a bit to finish the order, like a few days or even a week if they are really busy. Just something to be aware of.
