The VVS Ilyushin IL-2/3 while attacking ground targets
with its underwing 132mm "Katyusha" rockets »RS-132«.
Would be lovely, Michael, if the lamp position could be adjusted.

Hi Oliver, it's looking really great!

> Would be lovely, Michael, if the lamp position could be adjusted.

In MoI v2 check out the lighting options under Options > View > Lighting options - if you want more light overall, try the "Lighting style: Key + more fill" option which is brighter, or use the custom levels options to tweak the levels individually.

It's usually better to switch those options to increase overall brightness if you want to reduce dark areas, rather than messing with the light direction.

But it is possible to adjust the direction of the primary fill light by a script though. For that you need to set up a keyboard shortcut and put the script from here on it:
http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/#ToggleLightDirection

That script will switch the light direction between the default direction and an alternate direction on every keypress.

Thank you, Michael and Mark, for your kind comments, and Michael for the hint.
BTW, Michael, is there a kind of "object model description" of the "moi" scripting engine
so you could write your own Moi Javascripts ?

Very nice modeling!

It remembers me a simulator of the same name, it was great stuff!

Hi Oliver,

I don't have any proper documentation for that currently, but there is a moi.idl file that you can download which has all the different properties and methods on the scripting interface contained in it.

That's available from here: http://moi3d.com/wiki/Scripting

In the future I do want to make some documentation for scripting MoI, but unfortunately it takes quite a lot of effort to make good documentation so if I work on that then I would have to postpone some other things like modeling tools, etc...
