Hello there,

Do you know any good 3d object viewer around that will show .3dm models with slick and nice wireframe mode (only isoparm, cool reflection etc ... well like in MoI)
I need some cool turntable from various 3d models to put on some computer screens for a movie. We are going to a 'pre-render' solution for the moment,
using a poly package (probably modo) to creates some loops. I'm about to show MoI viewport to the art decorator, but static viewport is off course not enough.

I've find thousand of viewer, but none shows nurbs surface, so I'll have better result with modo anyway.

Hi PaQ,

I came across this software company http://www.seac02.it/ that specialise in visual solutions, they have a realtime renderer, LinceoVR which has a free student/non commercial license, I don't know if there is a catch though, also check out the video for their Eligo software, it's pretty cool.

LinceoVR renderer imports the main translated nurbs formats including 3dm as well as the poly formats, as for wireframe I'm not sure, I just came across this software not to long ago, so I haven't had a chance to try it out.

Cheers
~Danny~

Hi PAQ,
You mean this ???

examples here:
http://www.edrawingsviewer.de/pages/samples/index.html
If yes, use Moi3d(export as skp) ---> Sketchup(Here you can set colors, textures, transparency) ---> Edrawings(Edrawings2008 is free with Watermark,Edrawings2007 is without watermark)
Download here:
http://edrawings.geometricglobal.com/Downloads/eDrawings+for+SketchUp/index.aspx

Other solutions
Download this Plugin for Sketchup
Webexporter for Sketchup
http://dl.google.com/sketchup/gsu6/plugins/sketchup6webexporterwen.exe
More details here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0Tmlko5YTU
Create one output with Webexporter, after this step you can replace pictures in Webeporter folder with own sreenshots from Moi3d.
Ask michael, perhaps this can be automated.

Try this one! ;) Online! (free) (Dasault product ;)
Zoom, rotate, automatic rotate, move, anti aliasing, points... wireframe... color shaded mode
Cool for colors shaded mode but Wire mode is without hidden face so not very good in wire mode!

Hi PaQ, I guess you could actually use MoI for the screens, with the turntable / autorotate plugin from here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=1001.1

Otherwise maybe another possibility is to use Adobe Acrobat's 3D viewer system.

I think there is a company called Quadrispace that has some inexpensive choices for authoring 3D PDF files: http://www.deskeng.com/articles/aaampa.htm
