Interesting construction line behaviour and possible bug

Just noticed that if you create a persistent construction line it will take the current active style. Hiding the style then hides the construction lines as well. Cool :-)

Hi Michael,

But now I'm getting an error.

This happens every time I click on one of the construction lines. In previous versions you could click on the line and delete it or move it. Hopefully this can be put back the way it was.

Of course it could be something I've done in the SidePane.htm file, but I haven't made any mods that I didn't do before.

The ZIP has the 3dm file and my edited SidePane.htm.

I got that behaviour yesterday if I made a rail revolve that was incorrect and resulted in a little sliver down the axis of revolution...After the incorrect result, if you tried to select the sliver to get rid of it, the sidepain error.

Heres an example that I hope can help to find it. If you do a rail revolve with the top view plane curve using the smaller curve as the rail and down the center axis, you will get the sliver (I know it would be the intended result) But trying to select the little sliver gives the error.

FYI.

[EDIT] Same for me on the construction lines BTW [EDIT]

Hi Tony & Burr, thanks for reporting this bug.

I've attached an updated SidePane.htm which you can copy over top of the old version in the \ui subfolder which should solve this problem.

The bug was in trying to initialize the size part of the object properties panel, if the bounding box of the object was not able to be retrieved.

Construction lines don't give back a bounding box since they are infinite, and the other one that you saw Burr was probably due to the little sliver being a kind of collapsed down surface that failed to mesh.

Please let me know if you still see this problem with the updated side pane.

- Michael
