Aw, trueSpace wasn't so bad. Ok, I never used nurbs in tS because I couldn't get my head around it, but polygon modeling and SDS was OK (give or take the odd boolean op crash). I'm also one of those people who was happy with the tS gui (up to tS6.6) once I got it set up the way I wanted it (hate the new interface I have to admit). The current price is hard to beat too, at least until M$ finally pulls the plug on it.

trueSpace still has a place in my kit as a scene editor and for some interesting plugins.

MoI is exceptional and every 3D app I've used looks ordinary by comparison to it.

Hopefully yes - but it's a bit unsure yet how that will work out - if it takes the same length of time as styles did then it will have to get postponed until v3.

But I'm going to give it a try to see what's going to be involved. If it can be done in less time than it took for styles, then I should be able to get it in for v2.

Groups is the one big ticket item I would really like to see make it into V2, (with plugin API & docs for V3?). Not a deal breaker by any means but certainly something I would like to have.

Hi Mark, yup I'd like to have it too.

But V2 has been in development for more than 1 and a half years now, so it is really time to wrap it up. Anything that ends up taking a long time will just have to be postponed until the next version, which I will be starting on as soon as all the various things (documentation for example) are wrapped up for v2.

I don't know yet if groups will take a long time or not, there is a tricky area which is what to do about groups when things are copied.
