We've just launched the latest, greatest version of VirtualBox and can't wait to share it with you at our next VirtualBox Live show. Learn all about the great new features in VirtualBox 3.0 including:

- SMP or multiple virtual CPUs
- Direct3D and OpenGL graphics acceleration
- the new python shell

Unfortunately the Direct3D support in VirtualBox does not seem to be really finished yet, it is listed as "experimental" in this release I believe.

It does not seem to have enough parts working yet to run MoI, there was a recent discussion here: http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=2795.1

You might try VMWare instead, I think they have a Linux edition and they are further along in their Direct3D support.
