Options for the browser should be ;)
Adjacent
Inside
Left/Right (different than the left/Right side Panel)

Have only the browser separated on the left is very pratical!

Bravo for the new version ;)
Waiting details review :)

I agree with Frenchy. I set this up for the April beta and now for the June one. I pull the browser part of the window over onto the second monitor which leaves me with the same amount of modeling space :-) . It's not too hard, but for those users who don't understand the UI files would be nice to have it in the options.

By the way, did I miss the June beta announcement?

Regards
Tony

I would also like to support above mentioned layout option (browser and tools set apart) as it continues to stay as a layout of choice for me (although I prefer the browser pane set to the left so that close button is placed in a more natural way)

ps again thanks to Michael that we at least can change ui though some coding)))

Color Styles now saved with OBJ. Now I no longer have to assign a material in Hypershot individually to each facet of a diamond!

Yes I agree with you guys too. Also it would be much better to have a pallet like yours ash with all the custom scripts placed in it with icons - im really not sold on the current script/hotkey implimentation, I can't see why we cant have a custom pallet in the UI built in that can be added to like how we add new styles that would be really flexible. Even if there isn't an icon availiable then it could just be a key word. Not sure why michael seems to resist this type of implimentation as searching for a key on a keyboard takes the same amount of time as searching a ui for an icon which is visually more informative too, maybe he's still getting around to it!!;-) Beta is good so far though.

The Plugin Gallery will give you what you want. Even an Icon in the UI if you want.

Hi Rob,

Yeah, I do have some ideas for something along these lines.

The reason why it does not currently exist is not because I don't think it would be a good idea, but rather just that there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done that I wish could be done...

I do expect to improve this area when I get a chance to work on it, but it is hard to know exactly when that will be.

Hi Michael,

Any thoughts on having a setting in the options to have the browser on the opposite side of the window from the tool palettes? As was in my screen grab.

Cheers.

Tony

Hi Pilou / Tony / Igor - I've added in a new "Opposite" configuration option for the scene browser in the next v2 beta:

When you set that, the browser pane will appear on the opposite side of the screen from the main side pane tools.
