Here's that logo as curves in an AI file for import into MoI. I didnt clean up the points at all but that is up to you! It should be at least "OK" if you want to just use it "as is"

I did a try few months ago, well not really the logo model, but something in the same idea.

http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=1699.1

I suppose, we have to use MoI to build the logo ? :P

Here is a sample of what I had in mind.
Which does not mean that there can be any variation of that....
Just an idea for the ones who cannot imagine what I was referring to...

PaQ's model looks great, except it's two of them. I'd have difficulty machining it.
The model must be a little bit more 'cylindrical' in nature.
Imagine a 4Inch diameter max and a 12-15 inch height.
That volume can conveniently be machined.
I could drill a hole through it and mount a light bulb on top haha.

But.... do not hesitate to create a Plaque based on the logo itself.
In that case imagine something within a 12x12Inch height and width and a maximum of 1 inch thickness.

If you stick to the ratio, I'll scale it to fit later. No worries.

Cheers
Rainer

Well my first attempt was a failure turned into an extrusion. Here's the file for Lemo. It may be a good cut for him anyway on his new 4th axis. Back to the drawing board.

Hi Lemo, the idea is really cool, but we (I) need probably some time to work on it !

I personnaly have some problems to turn this 2D logo into a 'cool' 3d version, it's not that easy if you want to keep the exact outline (silhouette)

Alright.... we extend the deadline...

8)

I'm not really looking at the logo itself. More at the statue it depicts.
Some fun 'bobble head' version of the logo. Again, I'll cut it into wood!

Cheers

Hey all, had some time.
I kept it simple, my interpretation in glass, metal and timber.

I like them all Danny!

The only thing I feel missing is some sort of filament in the bulb; seeing a hint of the filament details within the glass to me would be a nice finishing touch!
