Hi Michael,

I used Sweep with one profile
and two rail curves

In Moi i expected a smooth surface,
but the result gave a creased surface

A copy in rhino gave me the shape i
wanted

I checked the curve controlpoints, and they
seam to be alright

Hi Paola,
I tried to emulate your example and did not get the sweep error like yours shows.
Could the profile be oriented away from a center line or plane? occasionally I get a strange result if I have offset in my profile.

OBTW I'm using the latest v2 beta from January

Hi blend3d,

It looks to me that you used a profile and two cirlce objects.
That will certainly work.

If you download the 3dm file you will see in the front view,
that the big curve is made up by 3 arcs and 3 fillets

I did resolve the problem afterwards, by reconstructing the
big curve with controlpoints and Curve Through Points.

Thanks for the reply,

Hi Paolo, right now sweep in MoI tends to be sensitive to uneven spacing of the rail's control points. The profile's has some control points closer together in that area, that makes the sweep be kind of bunched together in that area as well.

I am planning on fixing this up in v2 when I get a chance to do some work on sweep, I'll use your file as another example of the problem to work on, thanks for posting it!

Hi Paolo,
Sorry I missed the file in your post, I had thought the rails were circles looking at the picture.
