Yes I know that I can use the Polygon, but I must use a geometric construction :)
Helpers were very useful for find middle of segments!
Another constuctions exist (Neusis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heptagon) but this one is very simple ;)

No it was for a guy who want to make that but only with TopMod! http://www.topmod3d.org/ a crazzy free prog!
So I gave him this little trick ;) (not find by me of course but by some old Greek mathematician :)
Wish he can adapt that inside TopMod, but it is a little task because TopMod is less ergonomic than Moi :)

PS the cool thing of TopMod is that you can Import / Export obj format!

here a guy has adapted a Torus script by Jace
maybe it's cheating :)
so from a torus script with this parameters an heptagon can be created :)

CS_Radius = 2.0

Ps In TopMod, call the Py Console, load the script, modify the parameters as above, Ctrl + Enter, launch the script
et voilà :)
