Surface from point objects

Hi Michael,

Like the "Suface from 3 or 4 cornerpoints" command
in Rhino...

In the Network command i can only select curves,
is it possible to add pointobjects as selection

The reason is that it allows me to make a simple baseobject,
(like an animal or human body)
With history enabled it can simulate vertex points like Ngons

Then i import the saved .obj into Silo

Hi Paolo, do you mean when you select 3 or 4 points before running Network, or do you mean selecting a whole bunch of points before running Network?

I think that the first one should be possible, but the second one of selecting a whole bunch of points at once tends to be a lot more difficult to do.

Actually what would be nice to have, is
1. Choose a number of points and make a surface
2. Choose a number of curves and make a surface like a terrain creator... Is this possible now? I can only think of a loft tool but I think it won't work in most cases...

Hi JTB, unfortunately those are a lot harder to do. I think that I will be able to get those for v3 but they aren't something that I can whip up easily for right now, unlike surface from 3 or 4 points.

But check out this thread for some discussion on different possibilities for Terrain:

Thanks for the link... I understand that this must be difficult, after all even specialized apps don't have nice terrain modelers...
