Hi Michael,

Is it possible to assign a shortcut to a mouse button?
I would like to assign alt+mmb to the toggle split screen script.

Regards,

Marc

Hello Mark,
That would be done in your mouse driver. Look for the software of your current mouse and in it should be an option for assigning the buttons.

Hi Burrman, thanks for the tip!

So, I guess there's no mouse button binding directly in moi...

Hi Marc, no there is not currently a way to assign a custom script to the mouse buttons.

But in this case, you're talking about hitting the Alt key anyway, so I'm not sure there is a whole lot of difference between that and just using a different shortcut key to do it?

I know that several people have made the Space bar set up as a shortcut key for that particular thing, since some other apps like XSI do it in that way.

Hi Michael,

Your'e right i could use a key but i'm kind of short on keys near the left hand!
It sounded intuitive to associate mmb to a view-related command.

I currently use space to "show points/lock objects" which I'm quite used to.

It won't be a big problem to use an external app to bind the mouse as per Burrman's suggestion.

Thanks!

Marc
