Hi Vincent,

MoI version 2.0 is still not finished yet, I will only start on the full documentation after the software is complete for v2.

But there is a list of all the new stuff so far available here:

You mean for the logo? It can kind of be easier to have a logo be more of a 2D design since it needs to be shrunken down to quite small sizes (even down to 16x16 pixels!) for various icons. A 3D shaded logo does not shrink down to very small sizes quite as easily.

Also the non-3D logo kind of has some nice character to it...

Hi Michael !

Thank you for the link and the explanations!

In the future, will be t-il possible to tilt axes a little as in Sketchup?

Thanks

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Maybe I will need some more explanation of what you want to do, but it is possible to tilt the camera to the left or right currently by going to Options / View / 3D view angles - that has a dialog that lets you enter specific angles for the 3D view orientation, such as an angle of elevation, a lateral angle orientation, and a tilt angle.

Does setting the tilt angle there give you what you need?

If not then I think I need some more details.

Not a sketchup user but I think the c-plane will do the trick.

Effectively this 'tilts' the axis so that they are aligned to geometry rather than the standard global direction. Or as Michael puts it:

'CPlane tool (under the View palette) for setting the drawing plane. This allows you to align the drawing plane to more easily work on objects that are not aligned to the normal world axes. I'll try to post some more details about this later, it still is not quite completely finished yet.'

see this thread

Is this what you mean, if so then it is already in the V2 beta.

Regards
Tony
