Hi Bernard, haven't seen you here in the forum for quite a while! Hope things are going well with you.

It should be pretty easy for me to add in a moi.ini switch to force flyouts to stay inside the window similar to how they stay inside the full screen.

I probably won't want to set that by default, because normally I would consider that situation with the flyout kind of hanging partway off the window to actually be a good thing because less of the main window is being hidden by the flyout...

But it should be quite easy to add as an optional thing to turn on.

I'll give it a try when I return from vacation, I will be away for the next week.

Hi Bernard,

I run in window mode rather than full screen and never noticed this. Then I realised, that's because I have the side of the window up against the side of the screen. Despite the desktop continuing onto the second monitor at that place MoI flips the flyouts to stay on the same monitor. Nice.

So, if you need to capture a window with the flyout inside, before Michael sorts it, then move it up to the edge of the screen.

Have a nice vacation Michael.

Regards
Tony

I've noticed a similar bug... if you click on the file menu and then select another window in the taskbar then the menu will stay open on top of everything else. (also happens with the numeric tab) Its not too serious but I suppose it will be easy to fix.

Can you put a screen capture of that, I don't succeed at doing that!
All works fine for me :)

Hi psyclone, thanks for reporting this bug where a flyout menu would stay open when you clicked on another application's window.

This was a bug that got introduced into the Nov-21 v2 beta, I have fixed it up now for the next v2 beta.

Hi Schbeurd, re: numeric palette going out of the window in screen captures -

In the next v2 beta there will be a new moi.ini switch that you can set:

[UI]
KeepFlyoutsInsideWindow=n

The default is =n which is the same as the current behavior. If you switch it to =y then it will keep those flyouts to be contained within the main window boundary which should help for that screencapture case that you mentioned.

But like Tony mentions, a pretty easy method to make it work now is to move the window to be near the edge of the monitor which will have a similar effect now.

Hi Michael,

Sorry that I couldn't respond earlier. Everything is going fine with me, thanks ! There's been some changes in my life during the last year and I don't have much spare time for 3D. But I work with MoI whenever possible... ;-) I'm also a regular lurker in the forum, just visiting as a guest.

Thanks for the fix for next version. Thanks also to Tony for the workaround. It does the job very well.

I'm waiting for the next updates of MoI and the object organization stuff ! You've done an amazing job so far.

Cya

Bernard (aka Schbeurd)
