I like that 'test render'. I'm a semi-pro photographer, on the side, and I love the grain. Good job on the gyro too!

I don't plan on having the grain in the final image, glad you like the effect though. The way Indigo works means that you start out getting the entire image in a very short amount of time, but it is extremely grainy and noisy. As time goes on, the render resolves and becomes more clear and noise-free. You can leave it rendering indefinitely, so you just stop the render yourself when you are happy with the clarity.

Here is an update on the power base with a switch. :)

A little update showing power terminals with the ends of the cables on them. I plan on doing the cables themselves in Blender because of its array curve tools. :)



I think the next step is going to be modeling the crystals themselves!
