Hi Pilou, Blend is meant to create a smooth surface - an object with a perfect 90 degree angle in it will have a corner in it and will not be smooth, so it won't work as a Blend.

Normally to put in something like that you would just draw a couple of polylines and then use Construct/Planar to build a planar surface from the outline.

If you like you can also select 2 edges at a time and use Edit/Extend to make extended lines where they intersect one another, like this:

Ok I had expected that exist a special Tangent (G1, G2,....) or Curvature :)

Of course it's possible with another methods but with some steps ;)

Hi Pilou,

> Ok I had expected that exist a special Tangent (G1, G2,....) or Curvature :)

Those options for Blend are for how the Blend surface behaves where it touches the other edges, I mean at these areas here:

If I understand you correctly, you're asking for an option to have the "Blend" surface be G1 at those edges, but have a sharp crease in the middle of the surface instead?

Basically Blend will not do that job - Blend basically assumes that the blended surface itself is a smooth surface object, to make a creased object you will need to use other commands for that.

Hi Pilou,

Yes, just as many steps if there was a 90 deg blend function ;)

1.Plane

2.Rectangle

3.Boolean, Diff

:)

@Danny : you must begin from the 2 pieces given ;)
@Michael : No problem, that only funny that the Blend function gives near the solution in one click!

I love this construct one! :)

Pilou, I counted 6 clicks to do the blend method and 14 if you include the rectangles,

Yes I know, the family is out and I'm bored :)

Cheers

@Danny
When I say "One click" , it's the click of the call of the Blend Function :D
Alas that is not the "Angular Blend Function" (maybe in future version) only "Chamallow Blend" :)
