Hi to all,

eMachineShop is a simple 2D program
which can draw metal profiles including
gears in mm and inches

Before you export it you must select the shape
and press the machine icon or F5
I imported an iges file in Moi with success

It can export iges, dxf and stl

Here is the link:

Have great fun,

Hi there,

just to be said, it seems that it doesn't run, if you don't allow it to "call home".

Yes

Not everyone has their work(ing) computer connected to the web.

A bad habit that is coming in with more apps recently.

FIRST I have to get the damn thing to open properly!
But, yes, as I see from the tutes/vidios etc it could be handy for more complex gear making.
Is it really needed if you have MoI?

Probably not!--well, maybe, if you are really into gears?

At FREE it deserves a look at.

Thanks Brian!

Seems like their intention is for you to have access to a machine shop through the net. Nice Idea. I havn't downloaded it..If you wanted to get something machined and lived way out, you could just do it with this, submit and receive part in the mail...I suppose it's a good tool for the machine shop to keep the models they receive standardized!

Talk to you later,
Burr
